Acrecebus fraileyi ist eine Primatenart innerhalb der Familie Cebidae, die ab dem Neogen (Miozän) im Tortonium lebte, das vor rund 11,6 Millionen Jahren begann und bis vor 7,2 Millionen Jahren andauerte.

The authors redefine both the Solimoes and the Madre de Dios formations indicating that the Acre Conglomerates Mbr. is not the lowermost member of the latter formation but the uppermost one of the Solimoes formation, changing the age of this member from Pleistocene to late Miocene based on the presence of land mammals of this age. The river edge outcrops are accessible only during the low-water season (July to OCtober) and omprise clay-pebble conglomerate (Acre Conglomerate Member in Frailey 1986) and gray to brown, often limey claystones. the base of the units is not visible, and their upper parts are covered by vegetation.
