Zur Familie Orsolobidae gehören 177 Arten in 28 Gattungen. Sie sind sechsäugige Spinnen, die von der Familie der Dysderidae unterschieden wurden. Verschiedene Gattungen wurden von den Oonopidae transferiert.
Distribution
Die meisten gattungen sind endemisch in Neuseeland oder Australien. Sie haben aber auch Vertreter in Südafrika, Malawi, Falklandinseln und Chile (Chileolobus, Mallecolobus, Orsolobus, Osornolobus, Falklandia, Losdolobus).
