Epibolie

Unter Epibolie wird eine Wachstumsbewegung des Ektoderms über den Dotter verstanden. Dies geschieht allerdings nur bei dotterreichen Eiern, beispielsweise bei den Eiern von Vögeln. Der Begriff kann auch die Wachstumsbewegungen einer äußeren Zellschicht über eine innere Zellschicht bezeichnen.
