zwischen 40.4 und 46.2 Millionen Jahren
Mission Valley La Mesa, in part
Kommentar z. Taxonomie
not to be confused with the very broadly defined "Cloud 9 Fauna" of Walsh 1996b
the Mission Valley Fm. has been dated at 42.18 Ma (Ar-Ar); the dated horizon is only clearly associated with two sites (SDSNH Locs. 3428 and 3539) but presumably applies well to the entire fauna; the date is corrected to 42.83 +/- 0.24 (AA on bentonite) by Walsh 1996b

most of the material is from SDSNH 3755, but original list of Walsh 1991 pertained only to SDSNH 3493
SDSNH 3493 and 3755 are from the Lower Member, and SDSNH 3757 is actually from the overlying Miramar Sandstone; however, I cannot determine if the taxa listed are restricted to SDSNH 3757, or what else it might contain

Cooper Center 02020 OCPC 21791 was discovered in 1995 as a result of paleontological salvage operations during Eastern Transportation Corridor highway construction in Orange County, southern California (Lander, 2003). The type locality, OCPC 2038, is in the northern (ETC Windy Ridge) segment of State Route (SR) 241, about 8.2 km south of its intersection with SR 91 (Riverside Freeway) and north of its intersection with SR 261 in sec. 23, T.4S, R.8W (33 490 3400 N, 117 420 5200 W) in the northern Santa Ana Mountains, Orange County, California.
