Eosimias centennicus (Eosimiidae)



Eosimias centennicus ist eine Primatenart innerhalb der Familie Eosimiidae, die ab dem Paläogen (Eozän) im Ypresium lebte, das vor rund 56 Millionen Jahren begann und bis vor 47,8 Millionen Jahren andauerte.

Heti Formation Locality 1 Shanxi (Shansi) Province, Yuanqu (Yuen-Chü) County, close to the Villages Xitan and Zhaili, left side of Huanghe (Hoangho) River, not far to the West of Xiqinghe River in the Yuanqu trench. The locality is called "river section", Lok. 1 (locality 1); 1953 it got the locality no: 5301. Exact coordinates given by Beard and Wang 2004 Lutetian

Lei, 1981: Baishui (Baisui) Formation, Lower Oligocene; Chow, 1973: Hedi-Formation, Upper Eocene Beard and Wang 2004: Zhail Member, Heti Formation, Sharamurunian Yellow, brown sandstone, intercalated with red, brown fine sandstone, red, grayish-green, blew mudstone and grayish-white limstone. The fossiles are derived from grayish-green marl within these layers. IVPP Also included are: ?Leptictide, Rodentia and Anthracotheriide, gen. et sp. indet.
