Outcrop sections observed near Ramanagar Township. about 11 - 13 Ma = MN 6 or 7 + 8 according to Vasishat et al. 1978 This formation is about 11.2 to 14.2 Ma in age (Barry et al., 2002). | Aranaceous units alternating with argillaceous units. Aranaceous units dominated by sandstones over siltstones: medium to coarse-grained, highly weathered, micaceous, moderately compact with high percentage of undigested rock particles. Dirty-green to gray.
