TMM Skyline Channels are "along the northern margin of the Devil's Graveyard," which based on Stevens et al. 1984 is just east of the county line
overlies Middle Mbr. and underlies Dogie Creek; at same level as Cotter Channels
ash immediately beneath Skyline Channels dated at 42.7 +/- 1.6 Ma (KA): Stevens et al. 1984; this date is questioned by Prothero 1996b on paleomagnetic and general biochronologic grounds, and although he points out that the dated biotite flakes were very small his reasoning seems to depend on accepting the very questionable 41.2 Ma date for the Gill Breccia

Uinta C "massive sandstone, fine-grained" TMM two isolated specimens are from nearby TMM 41871 and TMM 42185, which are in the same unit Westgate 1990 reports NISP 101 excluding rodents and indeterminate records; later publications report 288, for a total of 389 plus two species lacking counts; Westgate 1988 reports "nearly 700" and Westgate 1990 "over 700," and I believe the discrepancy is due to counting indeterminate specimens said to be Uinta C
