Macrofossils, Outcrop sections observed near Ramanagar Township. about 11 - 13 Ma = MN 6 or 7 + 8 according to Vasishat et al. 1978 This formation is about 11.2 to 14.2 Ma in age (Barry et al., 2002)., Aranaceous units alternating with argillaceous units. Aranaceous units dominated by sandstones over siltstones: medium to coarse-grained, highly weathered, micaceous, moderately compact with high percentage of undigested rock particles. Dirty-green to gray. Argillaceous units are claystones with some shales: loose, and green to pink weathered. | ||
